Hamilton recently won the F1 Drivers’ Championship for a fourth time, moving level with Formula One legend Sir Jackie Stewart.
The 32-year-old, however, sometimes divides fans for the way he can be spotted out on the town – something he has never made much effort to hide.
And Verstappen has admitted that his British counterpart leaves him shocked by the way he can do so much outside of racing.
“I don’t follow many drivers on social media,” Verstappen told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.
“I follow Daniel (Ricciardo). And Lewis. And Pierre (Gasly) because he’s a nice guy.
“When I see what Lewis does in his free time, I’m sometimes really perplexed.
“He does so much! It’s his life and he wins races and championships so it’s fine. You can hardly say it doesn’t work for him.”
Verstappen also said he did not want the current F1 season to finish – despite Hamilton already being crowned winner.
“Abu Dhabi is the last race but I’m in really good shape at the moment,” he added.
“I’d prefer to just keep racing and racing.”
Lewis Hamilton: F1 star leaves Max Verstappen shocked
Meanwhile, Hamilton has stuck the knife into rival Sebastian Vettel.
The duo have had a hostile rivalry for years now, and the Brit’s latest comments make for spicy reading.
“It’s not great for anyone to lose a world championship when they’ve been in the lead of the championship, I’ve been there before,” he said.
“I think this year there have been weak points he’s shown, pressure points you might call them, and I’m sure he’s going to try to work on those areas next year, and I’ve got to raise my game to reply to him.”
